Katie Wade, MA, LPCC

Hi, I’m so happy you’re here!

I’m Katie (she/her/hers). I work with children, teens, adolescents, parents, families and adults. I feel passionate about meeting every person who crosses my path exactly where they are and working with them to get to where they want to be. I have a wide variety of experience supporting individuals in their journeys with navigating anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, life transitions, trauma and stressors, parenting challenges and conflicts. I also have extensive experience consulting and collaborating with school staff, case managers, caregivers and other providers.

Building and nurturing a supportive and safe relationship starts with identifying and honoring our strengths, and a large part of my focus in therapy is in celebrating the positives and cultivating a warm, gentle, playful and creative approach. I strive to bring empathetic understanding into the conversation when exploring areas of growth and the many complexities that come with it. I encourage all parts of you to show up in therapy and support you in navigating the different ones that come up as we work together toward your goals.

I may be a good fit if:

  • You are feeling stuck with your child and want someone who doesn’t leave the family outside of therapy.

  • You are having a difficult time managing life stressors and need a calm, judgement-free environment to explore and do a deeper dive into everything coming up.

  • You need someone to sit with your struggling child and provide them with a safe space to be themselves and ride the waves of big emotions through play and art.

My approach is constantly evolving to meet clients needs. I hold space for it all and bring in expertise from different modalities and techniques to sit with the tough feelings and create the foundation for change. I always aim to provide an antiracist, LGBTQIA and Neurodiversity – affirming, culturally responsive therapeutic alliance where all feel welcome.

Outside of therapy, I love to spend time with my children and family, whether that is going on adventures to new areas and visiting our favorite places or staying home and relaxing on the couch with a movie and yummy snacks. I love dogs, travel, arts and crafts and being outside in nature.
